2008 Mountain Home Area Guides Now Available

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The 2008 Mountain Home Vacation and Relocation Guide is now available at the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce as well as all Arkansas Tourist Information Centers and online at www.EnjoyMountainHome.com. This year’s cover photo is a White River scene and the back cover features a sailboat and a pontoon boat on Lake Norfork’s blue waters.

Eddie Majeste, executive director of the chamber of commerce, said the guide focuses on topics of interest to visitors and those seeking a place to relocate.

“As in the past, all 30,000 copies will be distributed to visitors and prospective residents interested in vacationing and relocating to the Mountain Home area,” he said.

The new area guide is the same size as last year’s (8.5 x 11 inches), contains 36 pages with more than 50 color photos, and information about the area’s attractions, including lakes, rivers, parks, golfing, festivals, the community, education, health care, and newcomer contacts.

Advertisements in the book are by chamber members only. Charts with information at-a-glance about places to stay and an index to advertisers are placed at the back of the guide.

Copies of the area guide are available at the chamber office, located at 1023 Hwy. 62 B, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Out-of-town residents may request a guide from the chamber’s Web site at www.EnjoyMountainHome.com or use the toll free number to order a guide. Call 1-800-822-3536.
